- Tony Goemans, Founder
Family Owned and Operated
Goemans Appliances has been building loyal relationships with our customers and employees within the community since 1978, and have always prided ourselves on being a family affair. Superior value, a dedication to customer satisfaction, and personalized service are the pillars on which Tony Goemans built the trusted Goemans brand, and which his sons, Jason, Jeff, and Brad, carry on today. With seven locations across southern Ontario, including Stoney Creek, St. Catharines, Mississauga, Kitchener, London, Vaughan, and Markham, Goemans Appliances has become one of Canada's largest independent appliance retailers.
A Leader in Customer Satisfaction
For more than three decades, Goemans has focused on providing its customers with the very best in product selection and after-sales service. With over sixty leading brands in appliances, barbecues, vacuums, small appliances, and more, our product range and showroom presentation is second to none. Our continuous product training keeps our employees on top of the latest technologies and innovations in the appliance industry. What does this mean for our customers? From the moment you walk in the door, you can expect a convenient, professional, and courteous retail experience.
Big City Savings, Small Town Service
The advantage of being one of Canada's leading independent appliance retailers is that we have the buying power to purchase in volume and pass on the savings to our customers, while being small enough to provide the prompt, personalized service that you would expect of a traditional family-run business.
Goemans Appliances is also an active member of the community, and is regularly involved in fundraising and relief initiatives including Relay for Life, Haiti Earthquake Relief, and Ronald McDonald House – it's our way of giving back and showing you we're a company with a heart.
The Goemans Promise
"As is the case of any competitive retail business, our continued success can only be maintained by meeting and exceeding our customer's expectations. That has been our focus and strategy since the company's inception, and we don't intend to stop now! Each and every employee adds value to the Goemans team; we are passionate and committed to being leaders in our industry."

Relay for Life
Canadian Cancer Society Relay For LifeFor the past eight years Goemans Appliances has participated in the Relay for Life in Hamilton, raising more than $47,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society through individual pledges as well as fundraising events.
In 2015, we raised just over $7,200 to help fuel the fight against cancer. We achieved Varsity Hall of Fame status for our donations raised – something we are immensely proud of.
In 2014, we raised $5,600, earning a Bronze Team status, bringing our total to three Bronze and two Silver designations. Our theme for 2014 was “Picture a Cure,” and we paid homage to celebrities who have survived cancer by decorating our tent with their photos.
In 2013, we raised more than $8,000 and were awarded as a Silver Team. In 2013, the team changed their theme from “Strike out Cancer,” which won third best-dressed team in 2012, to a construction based theme, “Constructing a Cure,” which won first place for the best site decoration!
The Relay for Life is a non-competitive relay that celebrates cancer survivors and pays tribute to loved ones affected by the disease. Funds raised support the Canadian Cancer Society's mission to eradicate cancer and enhance the quality of life of Canadians living with cancer through research, information services, support programs, and advocacy.
Goemans Annual Memorial Event (G.A.M.E.)
<For the past two years the Goemans family has hosted the Goemans Annual Memorial Event (G.A.M.E.) charity golf tournament, and has raised about $100,000 for C.Y.O. Camp Marydale and Camp Brébeuf. What started as a celebration for family and friends to remember and honour the lives of both Hunter and Tony Goemans has evolved into an initiative for change.
The first G.A.M.E., held in 2014 at the renowned Glen Abbey Golf Club, raised about $40,000 for Camp Marydale. This year, in 2015, the G.A.M.E. raised around $60,000 for Camp Brébeuf. All of the proceeds go towards renovating the camps, which will in turn allow underprivileged children to enjoy the facilities, build strong friendships, and make memories that will last a lifetime.
Goemans donates $10,000 to York Region Food for Learning
Goemans donates $10,000 to York Region Food for Learning Goemans Appliances donated $10,000 to the York Region Food for Learning program to give back to our community during the Vaughan showroom gala in November, 2014.
York Region Food for Learning supports student nourishment programs which enhance learning and health. They provide funding and resources to develop and maintain breakfast and snack programs in elementary and secondary schools across the York region. These programs help more than 32,000 young students get the nourishment they need throughout the day – something they otherwise might not have been able to do. At Goemans, we believe in the importance of education and nutrition, and decided this was the perfect way to support our new community in Vaughan.
Both the Hamilton and Southwestern Ontario Ronald McDonald Houses were presented with a cheque for $5 000 by Jason Goemans during the Goemans London Location Gala.
